The team of dive professionals at Scuba Diving International is putting together their presentation schedule for the remainder of 2010 and into 2011 and rather than “function in a vacuum” they have opened up a short online survey to get YOUR thoughts and requests.
“The 2010 Show Season has been excellent for our group and the response we have received has been outstanding, however we know that there is always things that can be done a bit better” Palmero stated. “Historically, in our industry there’s a kind of ‘this is what we’re doing’ attitude to the whole show presentation process,” explained Nestor Palmero. “But over the years, we’ve learned that our members, and other industry professionals – the folks out there on the front lines a – have the best handle on what interests the dive community and there direct customers; so once again, we want the industry input on our agenda for the upcoming round of shows across the country for the rest of this year and next!.”
Palmero, Board of Directors Representative for SDI™, TDI™, ERDI™ and STI™, said that professional members (instructors and facility owners) have already submitted valuable feedback on a comprehensive listing of shows and possible presentation titles that would be of interest to them and more importantly help stimulate business for the membership.
“They run the gamete from hard-core business topics through actual certification courses, and include presentations from Scuba Travel, sport diving, tech diving and the growing field of Public Safety Diving. More to the point, at this time, we are equally interested to find out what non-members have to say since the vast majority of our workshops, seminars and presentations are open to all!”
There are two surveys: One for those attending the November Show in Vegas >>> and one for those attending other shows but not the November Show in Vegas >>>
Take a minute to visit the link, register your valuable input and if you would like a copy of the results simply e-mail steve.lewis@tdisdi.com with SHOWS in the subject line.
With the Denver Show coming in September 24-25, Vegas November 17-20 and Florida December 4-5 we will be seeing many of you and want to make sure we make our visit worthwhile!
By taking a minute to fill out the survey you can help at least help shape a small portion of the direction of the industry. “Don’t you wish more suppliers behaved this way!” Palmero quipped. With a broad smile he added, “This attitude and business philosophy is what makes SDI, TDI and ERDI stand out from the crowd. Maybe it is time you consider joining us.”
